Welcome to RekoGen! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the RekoGen mobile application and website (collectively, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use RekoGen.

Your Account, Your Call

You own your content and can delete your account anytime.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account and use RekoGen. By registering, you confirm that you meet this age requirement. If we learn that an account belongs to someone under 13, we will terminate that account immediately.

2. Account Responsibilities

When you create an account, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information during registration.
  • Keep your login credentials secure and confidential.
  • Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.

You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account, whether or not you authorized it.

3. Acceptable Use

RekoGen is built for anime fans who want to discover shows, share recommendations, and connect with others. To keep the community welcoming and safe, you agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws.
  • Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with any entity.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service or its systems.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service, servers, or networks connected to it.
  • Scrape, crawl, or use automated tools to extract data from the Service without permission.
  • Upload or distribute viruses, malware, or any other harmful code.

4. User-Generated Content & Zero-Tolerance Policy

RekoGen allows you to create posts, comments, and other content within community spaces called "Realms." You retain ownership of the content you create, but by posting it on RekoGen you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to display, distribute, and promote that content within the Service.

Zero Tolerance for Objectionable Content

RekoGen has a zero-tolerance policy for objectionable content and abusive behavior. The following are strictly prohibited:

  • Hate speech — content that attacks, demeans, or incites violence against individuals or groups based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or any other protected characteristic.
  • Harassment and bullying — targeted abuse, intimidation, or repeated unwanted contact directed at another user.
  • Threats of violence — any content that threatens physical harm to any person.
  • Explicit or sexually graphic material — pornography or graphic sexual content of any kind.
  • Spam and deceptive content — unsolicited promotions, phishing, scams, or misleading information.
  • Any other content that violates community standards — including but not limited to content that promotes self-harm, illegal activity, or is otherwise harmful to the community.

Enforcement

Users who post objectionable content will have their content removed immediately and their accounts suspended or permanently banned, depending on the severity of the violation. Repeat offenders will be permanently banned without exception.

RekoGen reserves the right to remove any content and eject any user at its sole discretion, for any reason, at any time. You do not need to violate a specific rule listed above — if we determine that your behavior is harmful to the community, we will act.

We take reports seriously. The RekoGen team commits to reviewing and acting on all content reports within 24 hours of submission.

5. Intellectual Property

The RekoGen name, logo, design, code, and all original content provided through the Service are the property of RekoGen and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the Service without our prior written consent.

Anime titles, artwork, and related media displayed within the Service are the property of their respective rights holders. RekoGen does not claim ownership of third-party content.

6. Limitation of Liability

RekoGen is provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis. We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding the Service's reliability, availability, accuracy, or fitness for a particular purpose.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, RekoGen and its developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Service, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of goodwill, or any other intangible losses.

7. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, for any reason — including but not limited to a violation of these Terms.

Violating these Terms may result in immediate account termination without prior notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately, and we may delete your account data at our discretion.

You may also delete your account at any time through the app's settings.

8. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make significant changes, we will notify you through the app or by updating the effective date at the top of this page. Your continued use of RekoGen after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
